Made for three people
If you are one of them, the rest of this page will feel familiar. If not, it is probably not for you, and that is fine.
Etsy printable sellers
You already sell worksheets, planners or colouring pages. A story-driven quest book is a different kind of listing: a game with a hero, a map and a treasure lock, not one more colouring page.
KDP low-content publishers
You know the clone shelf: word searches and mazes that all look alike. A quest book has a plot, and the interior comes out as one print-ready PDF. (The full-wrap cover is in the Seller Kit.)
Teachers and homeschool parents
You want this week's lesson to feel like a game. Pick the skill (add within 100, a spelling list, multiplication...), print, play. The paper-saver file prints a class set two pages per sheet.
Why most activity books do not sell, and why making one takes a weekend
Buyers can tell a puzzle book that was pasted together from one that was designed. The problem is that designing one by hand takes a weekend per book, and one wrong answer in the key is a one-star review.
| Step | By hand | With KidQuest Studio |
|---|---|---|
| Puzzles | Copy them one by one from free generators, paste into a design tool, hope the answers are right. | The puzzle and its answer come from the same code, so the key is always right. 33 types, picked to fit the grade. |
| Story | "Fun Puzzles, Volume 3." No reason to turn the page. | A hero, a mission, up to 6 chapters and a final treasure lock. Every puzzle unlocks a code piece, so kids finish the book. |
| Layout | Hours per book placing pages, margins and page numbers; a rejected upload when the bleed is wrong. | One build: book, answer key, game pieces and cover, with page numbers, mirrored card backs and the right margins. |
| Print quality | A blurry 72 DPI picture on page 4, and a review that says so. | Text and drawings are vector; the files measure at 300 DPI. Every build checks its own pictures. |
| Cost | A $20–50/month design tool plus AI credits that run out mid-book. | $17 once. No credits, no API key, no renewal. |
Real pages, straight out of the app
From three books built with the app and exported untouched: a grade 1 spelling gamebook (black and white), a grade 2 add-and-subtract board game, and a grade 4 multiplication adventure map. Pictures are optional; the dashed frames are where a child draws their own. Click a page to enlarge it.
Themes shown: Space is in the front end; Farm and Dragons are from the Worlds & Looks upgrade. The puzzle types and page layouts are the same in every theme.

Three steps, no design tool
Every book goes Story → Check → Pictures → Print. Pictures are optional, so most books are three steps.
-
1 Step 1 of 3
Pick
Grade, lesson, theme and book type. Four screens, about two minutes. The app writes the story around the lesson and builds the chapters.
-
2 Step 2 of 3
Check
Read the story, preview every puzzle, swap any you do not like. Every answer is made and checked by the same code that made the puzzle.
-
3 Step 3 of 3
Print or sell
Download the book, the answer key, the game pieces and the cover, in US Letter or A4. Print at home, or upload the interior to your marketplace.
What the front end includes, exactly
This is the complete list. Anything not on it belongs to an upgrade, and the next section says which one.
- 3 book typesAdventure Map (a quest map with stops), Gamebook (solve it, then choose your path) and KidQuest (a board game with cards, pawns and a die).
- Grades Pre-K to 5Ages 4–11. The puzzles, words and numbers are made for the grade you pick; math or spelling lessons per grade, or your own word list.
- 5 theme worlds + the holiday coming upSpace, Dinosaurs, Ocean, Pirates and Jungle, each with its own hero, places and icons, plus the next holiday on the calendar (Halloween in October, and so on).
- 33 challenge types, mixed for the gradeMazes, ciphers, word searches, logic grids, hidden-object scenes, dot-to-dot, mini sudoku, word problems, tangrams, seek-and-count and more. About half the chapters practise the lesson; the rest add puzzles, codes and games.
- Up to 6 chapters + final boss + treasure lockEvery chapter ends in a Key Box with a code piece; the last page opens the lock. Mission page, tracker or passport, badges and certificate included.
- 2 cover designsStorybook and Classroom pop, in the theme's own colours, with the Andika reading font inside the book.
- Every file you needBook PDF · answer key · game pieces (cards, board, pawns, die, hint cards, team sheet, certificate) · front cover PDF and 300 DPI PNG · paper-saver class set · US Letter and A4.
- Unlimited books, no credits, no watermarkOne account, one person. Nothing to install; it runs in your browser on Mac, Windows or a Chromebook.
- Commercial rightsSell what you make on Etsy, KDP or anywhere else. No credit line, no licence fee.
- Updates and supportBug fixes and new puzzle types for the front end are included. Email support, answered within three working days.
What it does not do (read this before you buy)
- It does not draw pictures. Empty spots print a "draw it here" frame, which kids like, or you paste the app's prompts into ChatGPT and upload the pictures yourself. AI pictures are part of ELITE and use your own OpenRouter key (a few cents per book).
- It does not use AI at all in the front end. Stories come from the app's story templates for each theme, so two books in the same world share its hero and places. A different story written for every book is ELITE.
- It writes in English only.
- It does not upload to Etsy or KDP. You download the files and list them yourself. The Etsy listing pictures and text, and the KDP full-wrap cover with spine and back, are in the Seller Kit. The front end gives you the interior PDF and the front cover.
- It does not include the other 12 theme worlds, the other 4 cover designs, colour schemes, fonts, books for ages 10+, more than 6 chapters, or choosing the puzzle types by hand. Those are Worlds & Looks.
- It is one account for one person. Extra seats and your brand on the covers are the Agency upgrade.
- It does not promise income. It is software; what sells is up to you, your listings and your market.
- It needs an internet connection and a browser from the last two years. It is not an offline program.
Proof, not promises

300 DPI, measured, not claimed
This is a crop at 100% from the 300 DPI file of a hidden-object page. Text, puzzles and the drawn covers are vector, so they never pixelate; any picture you upload is enlarged to print at 300 DPI or more, and every build measures the pictures in the finished PDF and warns you if one is lower.

The answer key is printed by the code that made the puzzle
A maze is walked to prove it has one path, a cipher is decoded, a math set is computed. The app's own test suite builds books for every grade, book type and lesson and re-checks every answer on each release: over 18,000 checks in the latest run.

It's for you if
- You sell, or want to sell, printable activity books for kids on Etsy or KDP, and you will do the listing yourself.
- You teach or homeschool grades Pre-K to 5 and want a printable game for a specific skill.
- You will read a book before you publish it.
- Five theme worlds plus the seasonal one, in English, is enough to start (more worlds are an upgrade).
It's not for you if
- You want AI pictures without paying an AI provider for them.
- You need books in a language other than English.
- You will not look at a book before you publish it.
- You expect the software to upload, list or sell for you, or you are buying it as an income plan.
Questions
Is there a limit on how many books I can make?
No. There are no credits, no counters and no watermark. Make as many books as you like, as often as you like, with one account.
Do I need an API key or a subscription?
No. The front end never calls an AI service, so there is nothing to pay anyone else. One payment of $17, no renewal. (The ELITE upgrade can use your own OpenRouter key for AI stories and pictures; that is optional and its own page says what it costs.)
Can I sell the books?
Yes. Every book, cover and file you make is yours to sell on Etsy, Amazon KDP, in your classroom shop, anywhere. There is no licence fee and no credit line to add. See the terms of use.
Do I have to add an AI disclosure on Etsy or KDP?
Not for books made with the front end: no AI is used. Stories come from the app's own story templates and every puzzle is generated by code. If you later add AI pictures or AI-written stories with the ELITE upgrade, KDP asks you to declare AI-generated content and Etsy asks for a note in the listing; the Seller Kit adds that note to the listing text for you.
What does "every answer checked by code" mean?
The same program that draws a maze also walks it to prove there is one path to the exit; the one that writes a cipher decodes it; the one that writes a math set computes each answer. The answer key is printed from those results, not typed by a person. The app's test suite builds books for every grade, book type and skill and checks the answers again on every release (over 18,000 checks in the latest run).
Are the stories the same every time?
Each theme has its own hero, places and story templates; names, places and the order of chapters change from book to book, and the puzzles are always new. Two books with the same grade and theme will feel like two adventures in the same world, not two copies. If you want a different story written for every book, that is the ELITE upgrade.
What exactly do I get after I pay?
The WarriorPlus thank-you page gives you a sign-up link. You choose a password and you are in the app within a minute. Nothing to install: it runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Mac, Windows or a Chromebook.
What is the refund policy?
30 days, no questions asked, through WarriorPlus. Email support with your order id and you get the full price back; the account is closed and books already downloaded stay yours. For EU and UK consumers this is longer than, and includes, your 14-day right of withdrawal.
How long do I keep access? Is it "lifetime"?
We do not say lifetime, because nobody can promise that. Your one payment covers access for as long as we run the service. We commit to at least two years of hosting and updates from the day you buy, and to at least 90 days' notice before any shutdown so you can download your files.
What is in the upgrades, and do I need them?
The front end is a complete product: you can make, print and sell books with it alone. Worlds & Looks adds 12 more theme worlds, 4 more cover designs, colour schemes, fonts, ages 10+ and hand-picked puzzle mixes. Seller Kit adds Etsy listing pictures and text and the KDP full-wrap cover. ELITE adds series building and AI stories and pictures. You can buy any of them later from inside the app at the same price.
Where do I get help?
Email leo@leosterling.net. We answer within three working days, usually sooner. There is a Guide panel on every page of the app.
30-day money-back guarantee
